Floor plan takeoff software built just for flooring
Upload a plan, mark your rooms, and AreaSum turns it into a quote-ready measurement report in minutes. Area and linear metres for every room, wastage applied, tile counts and materials, all exported to PDF.
Most takeoff tools were not built for a flooring shop
The big estimating suites are built for general contractors: every trade, every material, a bill of quantities and a training course to match. AreaSum does one job. Floor plans in, quote-ready measurements out, grouped the way flooring and tile are actually sold.
Made in Australia
Priced in AUD, measured in square metres, AU trade defaults out of the box.
Built with a working flooring business
Shaped on real jobs with a real shop, not designed in a boardroom.

From contractors using AreaSum on real jobs.

“There are other measuring tools out there. This one is built for how a flooring business actually works. Twenty seconds clicking the rooms saves ten minutes on the measure, and once you see how much time it takes out of a job it’s a no-brainer. It gets better every week too, because the feedback actually gets acted on.”

What flooring teams ask before they sign up.
Who is AreaSum for?
Flooring and tiling trades. Carpet, vinyl, hybrid and timber installers and retailers, wall and floor tilers, tile retailers, and the estimators who quote off floor plan PDFs and want measurements faster than CAD.
Do I need any drawing or CAD skills?
No. Upload a PDF, set the scale by clicking two points of a known length, then draw rooms point-by-point. Anyone on the team can use it in under ten minutes.
Can I measure multi-page floor plans?
Yes. Each page keeps its own scale and rooms, and your totals roll up across the whole project.
What does the report include?
A branded PDF with each room, area in square metres, linear metres, totals grouped by flooring type with wastage applied, and for tile rooms the tiles, boxes, grout bags and adhesive bags. Send straight to suppliers or clients.
How much does it cost?
Standard is $49 per user per month, Pro is $99. Both include a 14-day free trial covering your whole team. No card required to start.
How is this different to generic CAD or estimating tools?
AreaSum does one thing: turn a floor plan into a quote-ready measurement report. No drafting, no layers, no learning curve. Built for the job, not the architect.
