What commercial flooring estimators ask first
How big a floor plan can AreaSum handle?
Multi-page PDFs of any reasonable size. Each page is scaled and measured independently, then the project rolls totals up. We have tested with full commercial drawing sets across ten-plus levels.
Can I split a single floor into zones with different materials?
Yes. Each room is its own measured polygon with its own flooring type. A 200m2 open-plan office and a 12m2 wet area on the same level are two rooms, two materials, two totals.
Does the report work as input to a BOQ?
The report exports totals grouped by material with area, perimeter and wastage. That feeds straight into a Bill of Quantities line for each flooring product. We are working on a CSV export for direct paste-in to estimating spreadsheets.
