Steps

  1. Select an m² room, such as a timber or hybrid kitchen. Roll goods like carpet do not have this.
  2. Click Subtract in the action bar.
  3. Drag a rectangle over the island bench or cabinetry. The room's area drops live as you drag.
  4. If the rectangle fills back in, it runs outside the room; pull it back inside before you let go.
  5. The room panel shows Room area, Subtracted and Net area. Click Subtracted to list the cut-outs, and × on one to remove it.
  6. Add as many cut-outs as the room needs. Command Z (Ctrl Z) undoes the last one.
